About Us
About the Hawaii Young Republicans
The Hawaii Young Republicans (HYR) are the official Hawaii charter of the Young Republicans National Federation (YRNF), the oldest political youth organization in the United States. Since the first Young Republican club formed in 1856 to support the new Republican Party and the abolitionist movement, Young Republicans have helped shape the direction of American conservatism.
Today, HYR continues that legacy by uniting young conservatives across Hawaii and building the next generation of Republican leaders. As part of the national federation founded under Chairman George H. Olmsted in 1935, we work to advance conservative principles, strengthen the Republican Party, and engage voters ages 18–40 in the political process.
Our Mission
Our mission is to recruit young conservatives, train emerging leaders, and elect Republicans at every level of government. We are committed to equipping Hawaii's young professionals with the knowledge, community, and opportunities needed to defend America's values and secure a stronger future.
Our Vision
We envision a statewide network of energized young conservatives who are informed, organized, and ready to serve. Together with the YRNF, we support grassroots activism, promote conservative solutions, and help build a united and prosperous America.
What We Do
Recruit
We bring new members into the conservative movement and strengthen Hawaii's young Republican community.
Train
We prepare future leaders—candidates, campaign staff, activists, and volunteers—through education, mentorship, and hands-on experience.
Elect
We support Republican candidates up and down the ballot and encourage young conservatives to run for public office.
Support the Hawaii Young Republicans
For many young leaders, the Young Republicans are the first step into public service. Your support helps us grow our membership, expand training opportunities, and activate more young people who believe in a brighter future for Hawaii and for America.
